Prof. (Dr.) Shishir Sinha is the Director General, Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET) under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. Prior to joining as Director General CIPET, he was holding the position of Director, Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology Sultanpur (An autonomous technical institute of Government of U.P.). is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
He obtained his B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur and Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur respectively. He is a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Institution of Engineers (India), International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability and a Fellow of Indian Chemical Society. Prof. Sinha has more than 24 years of academic and industrial research experience with several publications. He is working on developing technologies to convert waste polymer to value added products.
Prof. (Dr.) Ramani Narayan, is University Distinguished Professor at Michigan State University, in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. A fellow of U.S. National Academy of Inventors and served on the Board of Directors of ASTM International. Represents ISO TC 61 Climate Change Cordination Group and convenor of ISO TC 120 working group on Packaging and the Environment. Technical advisor to Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI), USDA Bio-Preferred program and EU certification groups. He has more than 200 refereed publications in leading journals, 32 issued patents, and edited three books in the area of environmentally responsible biobased materials. He has commercialized several biobased and biodegradable product technologies.
Prof. Narayan is a recipient of several distinguished awards. To name a few, Governor’s (State of Michigan) University Award for commercialization excellence and Michigan Green Chemistry Governor’s Award. Award of excellence from ASTM D 20 committee. DuPont’s Packaging Award for excellence in Innovation and Sustainability. Life Time achievement award from the U.S. Bio- Environmental Polymers Society. A lifetime Honorary Member of Belgian Bio-Packaging Association.
Mr. Mihir Banerji is an industry advisor in the field of plastics. He was an United Nations Industrial Development Organisation’s (UNIDO) Plastics Expert. Over 45 years he is in polymer industry in various capacity. He was the Past President of Indian Plastics Institute. At present a member, Managing Committee of Plastindia Foundation and Chairman, Plastindia Committee on Quality & Standardisation of Plastics Products. Mihir is actively involved in developing new standards for Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). A member of BIS standardisation committee for Petroleum Coal & Related Products and other Plastics Sectional Committees..
Total 18 years of experience in the fields of Chemical Engineering, Paper Technology, Polymer Engineering, and Packaging,8 years experience in MNCs like Jubilant, Quarkcity, etc.9 years experience in Teaching, Research and Administration. Awarded Research Associate-ship from CSIR for a Research Project funded by CSIR, Prior to joining IIP in 2016, I was working as Associate Professor & Head of Chemical & Petroleum Engineering Department at Chandigarh University, Punjab. He has more than 25 years industry experience and has worked in organizations such as Reliance Industries Ltd., IndoRama Synthetics & others.
Mr. Manas Kumar Sarkar is an HR professional with over 25 years of experience in HR/IR/Coaching/Sustainability initiatives across diverse businesses and across geographies. He is an MBA / LLB and a PhD scholar. Presently he Head People ( flexi packaging business ) at Uflex.
Mr. Dipak Boral, working in R&D of Domestic Packaging Division now, having 38+ years of domain expertise into the Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Customer support, Technical Services, System Audits, compliance adherence, Innovative thoughts, Break Through Ideas and involved in more than 500+ product developments with major focus on Plastics reduction. Leading the team from the front and nurturing next generation leadership. He started his endeavors with INDIA FOILS LTD post his post- graduation in Plastics & Rubber Technology from University of Calcutta in 1984.Then moved in UFLEX(Formerly known as Flex Industries Ltd) family in 2001 as R&D & QA specialist. He is an instrumental while developing different projects with P&G, GSK, Nestle, HUL, Mars, Britannia, Mondelez and various other customers.
Mr. Rahul Dubey is an experienced technical professional in field of packaging development , process validation, sustainability ,recyclability and Quality management system . His core work area is development of packaging structures for different product applications and its end to end validation. He has over 30 years of industry experience and has worked in organizations such S.B. Packaging and Nina Plastic Inc. USA and currently working as General Manager (R&D/QMS) IN Uflex Ltd . He is post graduate in chemistry and Diploma in plastics
Sanjay is a seasoned plastic technologist with around 25 years of experience , innovation being at the core of his expertise. He is working as DGM with Uflex.Presently he is in the core team of application development & new projects like PCR – Pet recycling, PCPR-MLP recycling, easy tear films, window metallized bio degradable/compostable project.
Jeevaraj Pillai is a Mechanical Engineer and an MBA. He has been working with UFlex for the past 24 years. He has over 35 years of experience in Packaging covering the entire gamut of packaging technology from Pre-press and cylinder making, different types and grades of film making, to high end conversion of flexible packaging material. His skills include sound understanding of web handling, extrusion and coating technology and bag making for varied applications.
On the sustainability front, he has been working for over a decade to address issues of the damage caused to the environment by plastic-litter, by implementing various measures including Recycling of Multi-Layer Plastics. He has been actively involved in the development of a viable Bio-degradable options for the packaging industry including that under Litter conditions. His contribution in implementing the Energy Curing Technology in flexible packaging has resulted in a substantial reduction in carbon footprint.
He also has an active participation in introducing value added products in packaging industry like Cast and Cure systems, Hot Foil Stamping on Flexibles, 3D-Hologram Embossing, Actively Modified Atmosphere Packaging Technology, Easy tear PET, OPP, PE and new generation Flexi-Tubes. He has presented paper on Plastic Packaging and Environment, Application of E-beam Technology, Anti-counterfeiting options and Anti-Microbial Films to name a few.
Jeeveraj is also an integral part of CII Western Uttar Pradesh Core Group on Sustainability.
Mr. Swapan Ray is the Honorary Secretary, Indian Centre for Plastics in the Environment (ICPE), a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization supported by the industry. Mentoring “Sustainability Team” of Reliance Industries Limited. Past Chairman of the Governing Council of Indian Institute of Packaging. Visiting faculty, Member of the board of studies for M.Sc. Polymer Science and Member of Academic Council at Somaiya Vidyavihar University. Adjunct Professor at Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. He is over 45 years in Polymer Industry in various capacity.
Mr. Rajeev Dwivedi is the Director, Technical Training & Research Centre, A Division of Lohia Corporation. Past 32 years he is in the field of polymers as an academician and imparting technology to new projects in India as well as in other countries. Rajeev is actively involved in developing new standards for Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and International Organization for Standards (ISO). He coordinated a study on “Biodegradable Plastics-Impact on Environment” for Central Pollution Control Board, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India.
Rajeev is a master’s degree holder in Engineering and an awardee of United Nation Industrial Development Organisation Fellowship. Prior to joining TTRC, he has worked for Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering in various capacities.
Prof. (Dr.) Anup K. Ghosh is a distinguished and renowned academician in the field of polymer science and engineering. An Emeritus Professor of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and was the Head of the Department of Material Science & Engineering. He is a Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India. He held the prestigious Reliance Chair Professor at IIT Delhi. He has over 30 years of research and teaching experience, and has 12 patents to his credit. He is known for his accomplishment in the field of polymer processing and rheology, polymer blends and alloys and packaging.
Anup is a M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, NY, USA. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh, USA.
Prof. (Dr.) V.P.Sharma is serving as Chief Scientist & Professor - Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research [AcSIR] at CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow. His area of expertise is Regulatory Toxicology. He was one of the expert members for Indian Pharmacopeia guidelines for primary packaging in PET Plastics and was advisory member for National Scientific Panel. He is recipient of several awards and patent holder.
He has 34 year's of experience in teaching and R & D and serving as expert for thesis evaluation and examinations.
Mr. Garg, is a Chartered Accountant and a member of ICAI. Since 2017, Mr. Garg is serving as the Founder at A A Garg & Co (A2G). He has gained tenacious knowledge in the EPR domain and has established eminent name in the industry for managing EPR compliances with his calculated advisory and supporting companies with confidence.& Prior to this, Mr. Garg had dedicated 5 years in multinational companies such as Morgan Stanley & Unilever where he has played critical roles in projects of F&PA (Finance category), fueling double digit growth for 4 consequent quarters for F&R Business, and as Central Controller for Supply Chain Finances delivering free cashflows of $1 billion with positive margin delivery of +120 bps & performance management of $5 billion turnover. He has simplified the entire reporting system with his technical expertise saving more than 100 man-days per year.

The team of trust comprises distinguished and renowned professionals of IIT, Delhi, CSIR, Indian Institute of Packaging, Indian Plastics Institute and other reputed institutions / NGOs. The team members are having rich and vast experience in the field of polymer processing science and technology and matter related to environment. The trust is committed to do research / experiment and develop biodegradable polymers and Films, recycling and processing technologies and to handle all issues related to Multilayer Plastics and Environment sustainability in the country.
